Good book if you can get past the language.

Make no mistake about it, this is the Best book to learn to Program Perl. It teaches you the Language in the best manner and teaches you what Perl is which is - There is more than one way to do it.

But the problem is the writing which is a bit boring and confusing.

It will take some effort on your part but once you ignore that it is a Great Book No doubt about it.
