A great in-depth book for learning C

Twice the size of most books on C, but the first two chapters alone have already cleared up a lot of my questions on how things work in computers, compilers, the language, etc. If you want to dive right in and just learn the basics you'd probably be better off with something else, but if you like to really understand the big picture, I think this book is the way too go. It's also less dry and academic than one would expect- the author has more conversational tone in the book which helps a lot.
