Pattern-Oriented Analysis and Design: Composing Patterns to Design Software Systems Review by M. Mukhtar
Re-Thinking in terms of Design Patterns, Very well written. Highly Recommended :)
Every one in the software industry is talking about design patterns. People are aslo talking about software factories etc.. But application of them is still limited.. why??? because still most of the people dont know, ahead of time in there design, where and how to use them.. untill its too late. Mr. Sherif M. Yacoub, has given the deep insight on how the patterns evolve during analysis and design of the software.. Extremely well written. They discussed many domains in explaining this concepts like Process control, Simulation, Medical system etc. You will be amazed how easily you can find these design patterns and then all you need is a good UML-tool like MagicDraw (great UML tool, a little expensive, but well worth of value) or Enterprise-Architect to make your model built around these patterns. You would start thinking your every software peace in terms of patterns, i guarentee you. Great book for software engineers, developers and managers.. Well worthit of price. Great work Yacoub, Simply fantastic :)
