This is the best book, I have found, for wait event information, helpful scripts, important information - often learned after years of performance tuning experience.

Have used the scripts and information to resolve several performance issues related to the Oracle database.

Anyone who wants a practical hands-on guide to understand and learn about Oracle wait events - why, where to look , what they mean and how to resolve these - and how to tune the Oracle database using a more logical and scientific approach - should keep this book handy.
