Danger Will Robinson!

I don't usually write ranty negative reviews, but this book is horrible. I know because I'm an advanced swing developer working with a new swing developer who's been pulling code snippets out of this book and I keep having to rewrite them. It's a nightmare and it's slowed down our project. Right now I am rewriting some code from this book that makes swing calls in a non-swing thread. This is a Swing 101 mistake. You might say "well, sure, but it's a hack", but there's no need for it. At all. I don't know how this happened because Chris Adamson is a really smart writer and great programmer. I've read some of his other books and used his other sample code and it's great. I am giving it two stars instead of 1 because the quality of the writing appears high, but I am confiscating it from the other developer.
