Software That Sells : A Practical Guide to Developing and Marketing Your Software Project Review by Takada Mikito
No depth, little insight
I completely agree with the Greg Bellingham's review ("Questionable prose and questionable advice"), this book is too basic and the author does not offer helpful advice. For example, on pg. 166 when discussing incorporation: "There is no need to have a legal advisor unless there is a pressing legal issue". The book is filled with insights like this. The author has chosen too many topics to cover, which means that the book discusses everything but does not go far enough to be insightful. I usually finish the books I start reading, but this book was way too painful. IF you think you need someone to give you "a checklist of actions that you must take for every Web/FTP shareware site your software is available from" (pg. 156), buy this book.
