Very good discussion of the topic

I really feel like I came away with a solid understanding of the topics presented. While they justify the presentation medium in the beginning, I do feel that at times the pages felt a little busy and were sometimes difficult to focus on. Only other complaint was the lack of real world examples. However, I still have yet to see anybody describing the patterns using real world examples. The only time I see realistic use of patterns is actually real patterns found in various programming frameworks that I use. Perhaps its just our OO lot in life to see example of Dog inheriting from Mammel which inherits from IAnimal (or Starbuzz coffee). But I do highly recommend this book looking for a good book on design patterns.
