Head First Design Patterns Review by Foo Fish
Great book for actually understanding Design Patterns
This book is really great for learning design patterns. The authors try every way that they can think of to help you to remember the design patterns, and it is effective. It's easy to read, and it keeps you engaged, and you continue to remember the stuff after you close the book. I have found it very helpful in actually understanding and applying the design patterns. While the traditional Gof Design Patterns Book is a good reference book, this book is more practical and specific for learning. For learning design patterns, this is a great way to do it. It expects you to know some Java, but anyone with an Object Oriented language should be able to follow well. I'm very happy with this book.
