If you are thinking about starting programming DON'T buy this book, instead buy this book http://www.amazon.com/Beginning-Programming-Dummies-Computer-Tech/dp/0470617977/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1286961724&sr=8-4 for absolute beginners, then get this book. This is slightly more intimediate book for people more familiar to programme. The book I linked starts at the very start and has a very slight difficulty curve.
