Part 1 involves four chapters providing background material together with a useful technique for the validation of fuzzy knowledge base and software representation of fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic. Section 2 presents an overview of neuro-fuzzy expert system together with an important case study, and a neural network model suitable for fuzzy reasoning. This section begins with a chapter on the demystification of fuzzy control and includes a critical evaluation of the fuzzy controller, along with a new type of fuzzy controller such as sliding mode fuzzy controller. Part 4 involves a chapter on fuzzy parameters and state estimation, an important fundamental in many applications, a chapter on fuzzy reasoning as used in rule-based system, and a chapter on computing multivariable form of ND pattern class.
