Web developers and page authors who use JavaServer Pages (JSP) know that it is much easier and efficient to implement web pages without reinventing the wheel each time. In order to shave valuable time from their development schedules, those who work with JSP create, debug, and use a custom tag-programmed series of actions that provide dynamic behavior for static page-opening the road to a more general approach to using Java technology standards for web development. The biggest impetus for this effort but recently arrived in the form of a set of standard tag library, known as the JSTL, which now provides various functions and provide web page authors a simpler approach to implementing dynamic, Java-based web site.
