QuickTime is a technology, in covering all of which can be used to display all sorts of things, including programmable functions and site navigation. Nineteen chapters cover everything from how to download and install QuickTime to the special features of the QuickTime plug-ins (you can limit the extent of downloading movies, so users with fast connections do not hog all the bandwidth) for streaming vs. There is a great example of the calculator that was made entirely in QuickTime using sprites. As an added bonus, the accompanying CD-ROM contains QuickTime 4 Pro for both Macintosh and Windows (which is worth only the cost of the book), various kinds of tools to create, edit, and convert audio and video, and most of the examples in this book.
