Digital fingerprinting is a class multimedia forensic technologies to track and identify the entities involved in the illegal manipulation and unauthorized use of multimedia content, thereby protecting the sensitive nature of multimedia data as well as commercial value after its contents have been sent to the recipient. It describes the multimedia framework fingerprints, discuss challenges that may face when enforcing usage policies, and investigate the design of fingerprints that cope with new family of multiuser attacks that can be mounted against media fingerprints.
