High dynamic range imaging (HDRI) is a new area of potential scientific impact and great technology in the near future. Although new, this field is large and complex, with non-trivial relations to various fields, such as image synthesis, computer vision, video and image processing, digital photography, special effects, among others. In this book, we aim not cover the whole field of high dynamic range imaging and its application, because this is a vast subject that is still developing. That is, the reconstruction of high dynamic range image from the usual image of low dynamic range.
