To help meet the challenges of this field appears, the editors of this book created the first Workshop on Network Processors, a forum for scientists and engineers to discuss the latest research in analysis, architecture design programming, and use of these devices. The series of volumes not only contain the results of annual workshops but also material that is assigned specifically highlights the industry's latest processor network. As the volume of its predecessor, Network Processor Design: Principles and Practices, Volume 2 defines and advances the field of network processor design.
