The SGML FAQ Book: Understanding the Foundation of HTML and XML are similar, but not quite the same thing as an online FAQ or `list of Frequently Asked Questions'. It addresses questions from people who are actually using SGML in some way (including the author of HTML), and the people who will use it. The questions addressed in The SGML FAQ Book is repeatedly heard by the people who make their living serving the SGML community. So one benefit of this book is to learn more of the art document creation and management, either by reading the public before the questions arise and with specific reference when questions arise. Fundamental answer many questions comes down to `simplify ': many questions that do not appear if you use the core, simple elegance of SGML without worrying about an optional feature. Two main goals of this book are (1) to answer any questions that you really might occur as a user of SGML, and to help you get a `dead end 'and productive as possible in using the language and (2) to show how proactive you can simplify the use of SGML, and get a tremendous benefit with minimal complexity.
