This book presents a comprehensive synthesis of recent results on possible mechanical analysis, architecture and synthesis of this type of mechanism. This is intended to be used by students (with more than 150 exercises and many Internet addresses), researchers (with over650 references and anonymous ftp access to the code of some algorithms that are presented in this book) and engineers (the practical results, to avoid errors, and applications are presented). Since publishing the first edition (2000) there has been an impressive increase in terms of studies and use this kind of structure reported in this book. Initial chapter on kinematics has been split into Inverse Kinematics and Direct Kinematics.
