Today, serious Web page using HTML and XHTML to structure content and CSS for style and presentation .. Head First HTML CSS & XHTML explains the basics of HTML, XHTML, topics like web colors, and CSS with properties (Shhh. ..) Actually I started programming long before the Web was a twinkle in the eyes of Tim Berners-Lee, but their questions made me think, and I realize that creating a website is a good way to start your journey into programming. But once you've put together a basic web page, you will have a lot to learn about how the web works under the covers, and you will be able to solve some simple programming concepts. For those of you who have no interest in the mechanism of a web page, there are many programs out there, such as Adobe Dreamweaver and Microsoft Expression, which will help you create a web page without having to know HTML and CSS how it really works. But if you want to know what's going on under the covers so you can learn about how web pages really work, and finally wrote some JavaScript and do more advanced programming, I would recommend writing your own HTML and CSS from scratch. Another advantage to writing HTML and CSS yourself is that you always can write web pages using the latest standards. When we wrote Head First HTML with CSS & XHTML, HTML 4.01, CSS 2 and XHTML 1.0 is the best at this time and supported the most recent versions of this technology, and in fact they are still. Once the new standards for HTML, CSS and XHTML are nailed down slightly more, we will update the Head First HTML with CSS & XHTML to incorporate some cool new features. HTML 5 will be more strict than HTML 4, but it is designed to be compatible with older browsers, so you will be able to convert HTML 4 to HTML 5 page web pages without needing too much about breaking them in older browsers. When new standards are released and supported by the browser, we'll help you sort through all of it so you can focus on making great web pages and build your web skills. And once you get the hang of some of the skills web page, you may very well find himself wanted to move from creating web pages with programming.
