Real-Time Video Compression: Techniques and Algorithms introduces XYZ video compression technique, which moves in three dimensions, eliminating the overhead of motion estimation. We have resurrected the video compression algorithm of 3D-DCT-based by developing several enhancements to the original algorithm. This increase makes the algorithm feasible for real-time video compression in applications such as video-on-demand, interactive multimedia, and video conferencing. The results show, presented in this book, indicates that the XYZ video compression technique is not only a fast algorithm, but also provide an excellent compression ratio and high quality of video compared with existing standard techniques, such as MPEG and H.261 / H 0.263 .
