Bug Patterns in Java presents a methodology for diagnosing and debugging computer programs. Eric Allen explained the theory of debugging, and how it relates to the entire development cycle. At the same time, he argues that testing and debugging, while often mixed, properly considered different tasks. After laying this foundation, Allen then discusses the "bug pattern" variety (recurrent relationship between the signal underlying errors and bugs in a program) that often occurs in computer programs.
