At the moment much like the fun of a college professor who tends to ramble at times, 's A + Microsoft Certification Training is an excellent starting place for beginners who want to understand the mysteries of their PCs. Yet the writing style of free-and-easy this book also makes a bit more difficult to study for exams, because the book touches on all topics lightly, it may not prepare one for what lies ahead on the final exam. (. Easy as certification books get, anyway) soft Reader sneak into your PC with a historical introduction to computers, including discussions on the abacus, Babbage's machine, and eventually UNIVAC I - then, the book moves up to showing pictures of common PC accessories, such as rats and scanner. For example, the "Providing Power to a Computer" is covering the beginning, in Chapter 5, and readers are advised to begin to open and view a computer, but the "Basics of Electricity" is not covered until Chapter 13. Likewise, the CPU will be discussed in Chapter 4 - but motherboards, where CPUs sit, are not covered until Chapter 6, and a peripheral expansion bus used to talk with the CPU does not get closed until four chapters after that. (But then, with new CPUs come out every week now, what hardware book?) The operation of this important PC properly closed, and the explanations are sometimes dense, but generally understandable. This is an introduction. The + Training Guide covers pretty much everything that want to know about basic repairing and upgrading, but does not provide an important focus required for the exam. Without knowing which areas tend to be "hot spots" in the A + exam, the reader could spend a lot of time studying, say, monitor repair, and completely ignore the frequently tested CPU model comparisons section. But if the main goal is to get certification on a resume, the reader will probably want to start with this, and then move on to a book that told specifically what to expect on the exam.
