Elliotte Rusty Harold author argues against the notion in Java I / O, a book that shows how the flow of Java support can help simplify network programming, internationalization, and even compression and encryption. This book opens with a picture of the flow capability of Java. (The author defends Java lack of support for console input / output (I / O) since the current application using a graphical user interface only.) He shows how to open, read, and write local files in Java applications. In an important chapter, the author is really explicates Java support for encryption, including hashing, the Data Encryption Standard (DES) algorithm, and ciphers. The last part of this book explains object serialization, which allows Java objects to save and restore their state, plus it includes the Java support for data compression (and ZIP files) and multilingual Unicode character sets. (Java is ready to handle almost all languages in the world with class readers and writers.) Finally, the author shows how you can format output in Java using its support for width and numeric precision APIs. In all, Elliotte makes a good case that Java streams are the flexible and powerful language, and of course no restrictions.
