Queuing theory with applications to packet telecommunication is an efficient introduction to basic concepts and principles underlying the behavior of queuing systems and its application to the design of packet-oriented electrical communication system. This approach facilitates broad class of solutions to problems where a number of practical modeling issues can be explored. The main feature of the communication system, such as the relationship in the process of arrival of packets at the IP switch and the variability of the level of service due to fading wireless link is introduced. In some cases multiple approaches to computing distributions are presented. Queuing theory with applications to packet telecommunication targeting both studyand themselves to be used as primarytext in postgraduate courses in queuing theory in electrical engineering, computer science, operations research, and mathematics.
