The method was developed for the more detailed quantification of gene expression, provide insight into the function of newly discovered genes, while the tools of molecular genetics provide a link between genes and inherited properties. Bioinformatics is becoming increasingly important to study biology, and one day at a computer often can save a year or more in the laboratory. This volume is intended for graduate-level biology students and researchers who wish to gain a better understanding of bioinformatics is applied and who want to use bioinformatics technology to assist in their research.
