Designing a processor that meets the demanding requirements of future mobile devices requires optimization of embedded systems in general and specifically embedded processors, as they have to attack the right balance between flexibility, energy efficiency and performance. By conducting extensive experimental details of the energy for a complete embedded platform, both energy and performance bottlenecks have been identified, along with important relationships between different components.
