Topics include using styles and themes, share documents, printing and publishing; edit images from within Word, using SmartArt diagrams and charts, make references, footnotes, index, and table of contents; working with several people at the same time at which same document, and change your ideas into blogs, Web pages, and more. From Inside the Book: How to Add Watermarks There may be times when you want words to appear behind the text of the printed or online. If you want to dress up your document pages without disturbing the attention from the main text, you might consider displaying graphics on the back of cryptic text. In this exercise, you? Will first add a text watermark to each page of a document, and then you? Will add a watermark graphic. SET UP You need AuthorsDraft_start documents and pictures with OTSI exercise-file located in your folder Chapter09 to complete this exercise. 1. On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Background group, click Watermark. Watermark Gallery appears. You can click the thumbnail of a predetermined watermark or click Custom Watermark to decide for themselves. 2. Clicking one of the options to insert the watermark is determined in pale blue on every page of the current document. Under the gallery, click Custom Watermark. Printed Watermark dialog box opens. In this dialog box, you can determine watermark image or text. Click Text watermark, text lists, then click Draft. Click the Color arrow, and then click the purple box (Purple, Accent 4). Watermark text vague enough to read text but brave enough to be noticed. On the Page Layout tab, in the Page Background group, click Watermark, and then click Custom Watermark. In the Printed Watermark dialog box, click Picture watermark, and then click Select Picture. In the Printed Watermark dialog box, change the setting to 200% Scale, then click Apply. Watermark images add visual appeal without cover text.
