Bioinformatics is a field that provides these resources to life science researchers. Structured as a federation of bioinformatics research groups from Swiss universities and research institutions, SIB to provide services to the life science community is very appreciated in the whole world, and coordinate research and education in the national bioinformatics. SIB plays a central role in both life sciences research in Switzerland and abroad to develop a broad and high-quality bioinformatics resources that are essential for all life scientists.
