In Interconnect-centric Design for Advanced SOC and NOC, we have tried to create a comprehensive understanding about on-chip interconnect characteristics, design methodology, landscape layered in different levels of abstraction and ultimately on the application of interconnect-centric design in system-on -chip design. Formal communication modeling and improvement are used to bridge the communication layer, and network-centric model of multiprocessor networks on-chip and socket-based design will serve the development and integration platform for SoC NOC. Interconnect-centric Design for Advanced SOC and NOC concluded by two application examples: interconnect and memory organization in SOCS for advanced set-top box and TV, and a case study in NOC design platforms to more generic applications.
