Clint Eccher has been designing websites professionally for seven years and now makes some of which are available in designs as templates through its own website (A5design.com) and with a new book, Professional Web Design. Along the way, Eccher offer sound advice on web design practice, little about HTML, cascading style sheets, and JavaScript, view JPEG and GIF files, and some insight into the "comping" (sketch) site design for client's approval. For most, however, this book discusses only aspects of Web design that readers need to know to successfully use the template. Although this is not a how-to on using the application or about making the site from scratch, Eccher not help readers learn how to debug and otherwise customize the source code in order to successfully implement the design. In addition to trial versions of major applications, CD-ROM also contains Cookbook JavaScript and HTML / CSS Developer's Resource Guide, which provides plenty of source code cut-and-paste for all kinds of features (games, sounds, pop-messages) that can be added into Web pages. One warning: although the template, this book is too detailed for beginners.
