We have different approaches to semantic web service description and a framework built around them. But the common understanding, evaluation scheme, and test bed for comparing and classifying these frameworks in terms of their abilities and shortcomings, is still missing. Semantic Web Services Challenge edited volume is to develop a general understanding of various technologies intended to facilitate the automation of mediation, choreography and discovery for Web Services using semantic descriptions.
