This book discusses and compares several types of methods are available for investment in the creation of a database protection (intellectual property, unfair competition, contract and technological protection measures) in order to find adequate types and levels of protection. To this effect, the authors use criteria based on a combination of information goods economy, human rights to intellectual property and information and the public interest, and propose a model that can be adopted at international and national level.
