In The Art of Causal allegations, Glenn Shafer put a new philosophical foundation for mathematics and probability and use it to explain the concept of causality used in statistics, artificial intelligence, and philosophy. His language for causal explanations can guide statistical investigation in the natural and social sciences, and also can be used to formulate assumptions of causal uniformity needed for decision making in the practical sciences show. The Art of Causal suspect that causal ideas can be both equally important in the theory. He does not challenge the maxim that the cause can not be proven from statistics alone, but by bringing the ideas of causal to the basics of probability, it allows more clearly causal alleged to be measured, debated, and confronted with statistical evidence.
