This methodology is based on a programming construct, called synchronization, which allows the coordination of distributed application components to be programmed in a modular and high-level abstraction. This methodology offers new insight into the problem of coordination in distributed systems and can be applied to a wide spectrum of software distributed systems such as process control, multimedia, and groupware. Current methodology for developing distributed applications do not adequately address the complexity of the coordination of application components. synchronization of the building, however, implement the abstract coordination as the coordination constraints and can be reused, thereby reducing code size and complexity by an order of magnitude.
